Do you prefer the front end to match wholly?

Was just thinking of a predominantly white framed bike and red forks.. would the headset (and the rest of the front end) look best matching the frame or the fork?

And what about seatpost...

white frame ,red forks , no no for a start
but if you must
silver or black for stem & seat post ,same manufacturer too as with bars
red hubs,or silver , q/r's black
black for a saddle
seat clamp must be red with a bolt not a q/r

I hear ya. . .

Still on colour..
Does it make a difference (when considering colour) whether they are rigid or bouncy?

I'm a bit torn, on springy forks, whether they should be left manufacturers colour choice or match them (either same as frame or contrasting as part of a 'scheme' (dare I say colourway  ))
I suppose the fork would dictate part of that.. Pace forks left 'as is', but a pair of Manitous or something??

Interesting about stem and seatpost.. I was thinking of the stem as a part of the forks (hence the possibility of a colour match looking ok there) but the seatpost more as part of the frame - so a frame-coloured seatpost mightn't look weird?

What about cables and chains?? Should chains be silver/gold?? Or are the coloured chains ok??
Not seen many coloured chains on bikes - I suppose that's answered that
Cables.. contrasting or discrete??

You could get away with white frame and red forks if you had red transfers, red cables and red brake cable covering.

Colour matched forks are cool... Even cooler if you match the stem too.
Just ask Fat City and Mountain Goat Cycles.

Chaser.

White grips on black bars,or vice versa :? .Red CK headset
I think to try and break each up so its red ,white red etc etc

problem with 2 colours is you end up with 3,usually silver.rims, cranks etc.Try picking colours that things like cranks ,chain bolts etc that can be easily obtained
My build got some reasonably priced red rimmed wheels, theyre laced to m475 but @ 80 quid new thats not too bad
Matching coloured rims really help the overall look 8)
[IMHO]
