Anyone know roughly how much it would cost to send a boxed up frame to Italy?

And any recommendations of courier companies?

Thanks

Sending to Italy

Hi Pace
If sending anything to Italy, I would send Royal mail,Parcel force and I would make sure it was insured, registered, trackable and pretty much DNA'd. Italian customs take forever, anything up to ten weeks and once its handed over to Italian post services it is no longer trackable. At least with royal mail/parcelforce I know they will honour the insurance.
To be honest most things arrive fine, they just take a while. Its if they do get lost it can be a nightmare trying to sort it out.
I actually sent 20 euro cash in a registered, recorded envelope to Naples the other month. They told me it would be delivered in 3 days. It took 9, a little bit longer, but it did arrive. So if an envelope with cash can get there it cant be too bad.
Just cover all bases.

Hello, I recently post a bike frame to Germany a few weeks back using the Post Office system and packed the frame with bubble wrap into a cardboard box, it cost £40, hope this helps.

Sorry for a slight hijack, looking to send some stuff abroad too, do you reckon the Post office are the best bet?

parcel 2 go and such like are fine.
basically just agents for DHL etc.. come and pick up from house, pay online, print your own labels. Job done :)

I would think so, all you have to pack the frame in cardboard box and take it to local Post Office and then pay for postage, never had a problem with them (touch wood)
