They won't be very good, as the metal will fatigue from self irradiation, and when exposed to moist air, plutonium forms oxides and hydrides that expand the sample up to 70% in volume, which in turn flake off as a powder that can spontaneously ignite. Which is kinda cool, in a cards-in-the-spokes kind of way.
As is also a radioactive poison that accumulates in bone marrow, handling is dangerous, so cartridge brake pads would be preferable to reduce setup time.
Probably best used with carbon rims, especially in their graphite allotrope. for moderation purposes.
