I have come to the conclusion that no matter how you are feeling there are a couple of things that pretty much can't not make things feel a little bit better.
For me...

One is Trance.

Another is Tea.

On another note, recently I have decided to be pro-active in the televisual listings and not lament on the sad demise of terrestrial tv and have started watching the Waltons back to back from beginning to end. There are something like 207 episodes and I am at the end of Series Two. :-)

It's lovely. So warming and nice. NICE. how often does that get made into television these days? Proper ambient TV. I am in for the long haul on this one and it's enjoyable.

Since embarking on this journey, I have come to a couple of sub conclusions:

a) The world was a better place before the invention of plastic.

b) The DVD player will from now on be known as the Waltons Device.

:D

There is the episode where one of the Walton's sprogs wanted to help the war effort by running the cars on his moonshine. He was so dispaointed to be told he wasnt allowed.

Night John-boy!

actually, i think that should have read 'good dance music' as I have come to the prompt conclusion (with the aid of you tube) that trance is a bit rubbish on the most part.

Don't forget the episode with the poltergeist. That was well scary as a nipper because I thought the Waltons was all true, based on the narrated journals of John Boy's mole.

It was a very bizarre storyline to throw in amongst grandpa's log chopping and ting.

I was going to mention that one too but you beat me to it.
