I normally know my way round ebay pretty well, but I've spotted a lot of people posting pictures in the actual body of their listings, rather than attaching images (and spending more money    ) and I have no idea how to do this. I personally think it's a better way of selling my items.

Anyone know how to do it? And if it's as simple as using a photobucket (etc.) account, which link do I go for.

When you're creating the listing use the HTML editor. On Photobucket use the "publish on the web" or similar link, it should start with "http://..." and finish in "...jpg" or similar. Then in your ebay listing (in the HTML view) ignore all the other gobbledegook, make a clear line and write the following...

<p><img src="your image link starting with 'http://...' and ending in '...jpg'"></p>

Include the double quotes - they're important. So if I was selling my Pioneer I would write the following in the Ebay HTML editor:

<p><img src="http://www.thebrownsound.co.uk/images/web/retrobike/07062010086.jpg"></p>

Where http://www.thebrownsound.co.uk/images/web/retrobike/07062010086.jpg is the complete web address of the picture in question - as it happens this is on my website but a photobucket link will work just the same. Which would output the following picture!

07062010086.jpg

HTH!

Yeah that definitely helps, cheers

I'll thank you now, in advance of giving it a go for real in the next day or so. 8) 8)
