Last night I rode with a suspension fork and it was everything that I was told it could be (fear not, it was only an RC36 with about 60mm of travel. Plus cantis).

I now fear for the future/my sanity - will it be a slippery bike related slope (that I can now ride down), not unlike a child who starts off sipping from their parents' bitter shandy and progresses to quaffing MD 20/20 for breakfast?

Having opened up Pandora's hot suspension box, I may need to give up cycling as I know it.

You think you've got problems?

I'm riding a full bounce and saying things like "I should have done this ages ago" and "oooh! my back feels so much better with a bouncy bike"

I have done the suspension bike thing before, but not for a while.

Hardcore you know the score, yeah right!!

al,

Now there's two of the bloody things!

I got my first suspension bike recently, it was great :D

However I rode 10 Under The Ben at the weekend on a retro full rigid and that was great too, especially as I out rode several full bouncer riders on some gnarly terrain

Further I plan to ride my next event on a hardtail.

The way I look at it I might as well try and master three sub categories of mtb as opposed to just one
