98 Explosif seat post diameter?

So I finally got my hands on a beautiful blue 853 Explosif, 98 I think...
Anyone know if it's a 27.0 seat post or 27.2?

Weren't they the 99 version?

But same frame, 853 with 27mm seatpost

You could well be right, in fact thinking about it you are.
It was the Black Caldera I had that was a 98 and the Stumpjumper I still have is too

We have what was once a quite tatty 99 explosif in the garage..... now powder coated purple with earlier block style decals fitted, built up for my Daughter.

Runs and hides.... be gentle with me fellow retrobikers, when I had it powder coated I didn't realise just how rare 99 explosifs were

Are they rare?
Any rate didn't like it much and sold it to buy a M5 S-Works which I enjoyed riding much more.
Never got the steel is real thing, my only remaining bike is a 98 M2, it's always been my favourite.
