pulled the z1s apart this afternoon, the oil inside must have been original, it was thick grey sludge. Full strip down and clean, seals greased and fresh oil. working good as new again. there was some very minor wear to the stanchions around the seals that has only amounted to a bit of discolouration. overall a nice tidy set of forks. seals and bushings seam ok too, so happy bunny here.

Good effort. I've a set of Z2's I need to strip down. Not sure when I'll ever get time, but I found a manual, so Fingers crossed I can sort them out. Bought in good faith, arrived with a part rattling around inside

it's the first time I've had a set of marzocchi apart, it was dead easy, doesn't take long.

Older Marzocchi's are rock solid and easy to repair!

All parts are on the net, sometimes you need to search a while or simply buy a 2nd fork for spares. There are a lot outside!
