Hey,
Been a long time since I posted here, but I'm making space & thought you peeps might be interested in the old Zaskar
It's been a good little run about for me for the last year or two, but is making way for a bike for my missus now. It's not in great shape, the frame has a couple of dings in it, one on the seat tube & a couple of little ones on the top tube.
It's pretty much as pictured, although I changed the riser's & the long stem for nice slim straight bars, a slightly shorter stem & bar ends, all finished in black - bontrager items I think. Headset is FSA finished in red.
Also replaced the seat for a plain black one, & the post if i remember correctly too.
It's mostly XT groupset, all in decent nick, the pedals are some cheapy wellgo alloy flatties, I think the bearing's have gone in these as they tick & creak a bit uder pressure.
The best bit are the wheels, with quality Mavic rims (I forget the model number, 217 rings a bell) but they were expensive ones, with the ceramic coated brake surface & eyeletted spokes if i remember, & these are built up on XTR hubs & wrapped in Specialized tyres that have plenty of tread on them.
The forks are Judy SL's, which feel light & responsive, but could do with a spruce up as one of the seals on the stanchions has popped out & split now.
Will let it go for £100 ono collected from HP3 (Hemel, Hertfordshire), otherwise I'll stash it in my dad's garage over the bank holiday & strip it for parts if the LTS needs them
