Back in '94-'95 i was a single parent, bartender/univ student. I just got into MTB and I just loved the look and tech of the 8700 SHX (the one that is all alu and carbon mains). Alas i couldn't never afford it at that time and had to pass it for an entry level MTB. forward 16 yrs and i am on the prowl for this bike. i know it is a piece of crap but i just want to road ride it around with the family, throw some middle ground modern bits and maybe a little retro cranks. I don't see too much of these on ebay, craigslist or retrobike. Anyone got one to share? Maybe even looking for one 14.5"
