95 Kona Kilauea frame modified + Rockshox reba

It was up a while ago as a complete bike.

Tis a lot of money for a starting price plus I have seen neater jobs from Argos too :?

Agreed for sure, I've had two Konas repainted by Argos and they looked loads better than that, also they usually have a sticker somewhere after refinishing, can't see it though...

1. Argos usually laquer on the decals.

2. That Tange Prestige sticker looks as dodgy as bugger.

3. Argos will sticker that they've done the work.

Is Antony about? He's the Kona guru.

Don't like the look of those welds around that bb and when Argos did mine they put their sticker on the down tube near the BB. He says that was the original colour, must have been the other colour option that year otherwise its a '94

That isn’t really my kind of auction. A 94 or 95 Kilauea in the 1994 colour with bogus 1995 decals and a Reba fork. Nice fork, but what’s it got to do with a 94 or 95 Kilauea? And just because somebody wants to get all that work done and put those two items in the same auction, why should anybody else want to give them £450? Surely it isn’t worth anything like that? And is it sensible for such a seller to call himself dreamonad?

When I had a frame painted by Argos, they stuck a classy little brown label at the bottom of the seat tube saying ‘Stove enamelled by Argos Racing Cycles’. Sadly in this case, that bogus never-fitted-on-a-real-Kona thumbs up sticker has been put there instead. It couldn’t be that the Argos sticker has been accidentally placed just where the conventional-swing clamp goes, could it? Careless if so, as this frame can only accept a conventional-swing mech.

And yes, all of the Tange Prestige Concept stickers fitted to Konas between 1990 and 1995 were bright blue, so I don’t know what this one is.
