Retro Guru
So I have been looking for a bit of older project to get stuck into and decided since I will be working Saturdays I decided that it will be my cycle day. So started looking for a frame to build and wanted something a bit different I had a budget in mind and brand as well and sure enough one popped and it turned up today

Plan is to go single front ring and 9 speed at the back keep it rigid and enjoy

Re: 93 RockLobster

Nice! Should make for a fun ride. What are your plans for the front to keep the chain from jumping off?

Re:

Yes keeping the frame as is, gave its a good wash and polished it yesterday came up good, I may replace the decals (not sure where to get good quality ones) I may paint the front forks the same colour as they are currently black

Just need to start gathering parts

Black fork will look good with the black components your fitting.

I started with that idea on mine but have strayed off onto the path of red anno now....!

As for decals speak to gil_m on here.

Tony....

Re: 93 RockLobster

Looking for a 1"steer diameter stem?

Been looking for a new stem for the rocklobster but can only find 11/8 stem, will these fit ok or are there shims?

Re:

Shims work OK but not Aesthetically, I think this would be better with a nice threaded headset and one inch quill stem ,as it is an early cantilever version. I have a NOS black Odyssey with roller noodle in black if you needed?

Re: 93 RockLobster

Have one on the go too, mines at the back of the garage though awaiting a decision on build choices! Yours looks bigger than mine, is it a 20"?

Tony (above) has a great build if you are looking for inspiration, and another great build here
