Firstly, so glad to have found this group. People that love the older bikes and encourage others.
Last summer I went into a bike shop looking for a rear tyre for the Marin as I wanted to put it back into a usable state and when I asked for a 26” tyre they said to go try online, probably better buying a new bike. Needless to say I thankfully left and went online and got one, along with some XT spuds, short bar ends and grips. Spent winter cleaning up the frame, brakes and wheels and took it our for the first run today. Felt great to put some life back into the bike and relive the glory days. I am sure there will be many more and when these restrictions get lifted some proper trails again.
