1989 Raleigh Mirage, not sure of size but its BIG, XL maybe? needs a fettle, back wheel buckled, front mech removed (have it somewhere) general service and set up, frame is in very good condition, mostly original, father in law has been using it on a turbo trainer, would keep it but not enough space to store and its too big for me anyway, £50 pick up or you sort courier, cheers

Re:

Bargain! I have used one as a basis for a retro cruiser. All groupset and wheels from the Specialized Stumpjumper Anniversary Edition with Thorn forks and Nitto bars

Love a nice Mirage! Bought my '88 version in '91, originally it was white, with the Exage groupset and chainstay u-brake- I've done over 10k miles on it, including a 400 mile cycle camping tour of the Netherlands, and a Manchester to Glasgow trip. For his 25th birthday (Yes, it has a name too, "Desperate Dan") he got a pair of Spinner Bi-Plane forks from an early Stumpjumper- a bit shorter than the original 501s and a lot lighter and springier, a big improvement that I wish I'd done years ago..
Anyway, as I said, love a good Mirage, mine in particulat- I have a Kona, GT, Orange etc but Dan was my first MTB and I'll never get rid..
