Jeez, I wrote this all up then posted it in the road bikes 98 and up section
Try again:
I bought this bike new in 1988, rode it a couple of years, bought a motorcycle in 1990.... and the pinarello sat. And sat. And sat...
I still rode my mtn bike off and on, but you have to be in good shape to enjoy this bike with the gearing it has... and I haven't been
I recently inherited an 80s Colnago from a great friend who passed away a couple of years ago - RIP Big Al  - and it got me thinking about road bikes again. I dug out the Pinarello, gently wiped the 20 lbs of dust off it... after reading here and at bike forums C+V how Pinarello decals self destruct I was scared to breath on them, lol!
Anyway, it still cleans up pretty darned good. It's as I bought it in 88 (other than the Look pedals which IIRC went on in the first few months).
Full Super Record with a C Record seat post, as it was prettier
Ambrosio Montreal rims with the original Clement Futura tubulars from 88 still mounted
My pictures suck, but you get the idea. I'll replace them with better ones if I ever manage to get any!
with Al's Colnago. These 2 bikes spent a lot of time together, so it's nice to see them together again, even if the circumstances totally suck.
I even managed to dig this up, though I don't think I'd want to drink from it anymore Came with the bike.
