like it loads....
My LBS had one which was well out of my price range....Begged and pleaded with ma and pa but to no avail.....I ended up with a raleigh strada

with its original (standard) kit . . .

at the time cost me £437 (I was working for Peugeot cars at the time and we got a BIG discount from the £600rrp) which was LOADS in 1987!

It did have Shimano 600 everything + Mavic GP4 Tubular rims . . . . now it has Campagnolo Record 2008 everything + Mavic Reflex Tubular Rims and is just stunning to look at and ride!

I too drooled over it in the LBS had to work hard to get it!

Its a keeper!

I never thought much of Peugeots. I made a trip to Paris last spring and I saw all kinds of banger Peugeot city racers, dirty and well used, clearly never having recieved much care and maintainance. It was then that the appeal of Peugeots struck me. I wanted one, an ugly one, right then and there and I'd ride it swiftly around the boulevards. When I got home I never actually tried to get my hands on one.. But this extremely nice example with all the new parts and the stunning colours really sparks my interest again. I just might have to go ahead and get myself a Peugeot. A nice one :D

I got one too in the blue and white colours. T'was used when I got it - but not much. A bargain price too. Hung up at the mo cos the gear boss snapped off.
