Hi all,
I bought this bike locally in Glasgow a few years ago and set about restoring it to use as a city bike. Stripped and painted the frame, in candy apple red. New Push seat post, charge saddle and bar tape, rear wheel, chain, bottom bracket, and brake pads, headset, freewheel, period style tyres, alloy cage pedals.
The bike was assembled by Joe at Gear bikes, and he did a brilliant job. Original Weinneman brakes, Suntour derallieurs and bars were machine polished, as well as 10 speed shifters.
Im not sure of the size but it fits me neatly and Im 6'2" with a 33 inside leg. I know the bike is a Dawes but Im unsure of the model.
Its a fabulous bike and I haven't used it since the rebuild and has been garaged . Circumstances have changed and I need to pass it onto someone who will look after and appreciate it.
Im only looking for some of the cost of the build back, so £200 will cover some of what has been done, and you will get a truly gorgeous, unique bike. The pics are available at the link below, but they arent the best and the bike has a layer of dust on, which will be cleaned of and polished before sale!
