7 speed shifter pod

So, on my way to work this morning my right hand 7 speed LX M560 sti unit’s shifter pod decided to literally fall apart :? – the bolt that holds the mechanism together has sheared off at the base / thread end. Managed to gather all the bits off the road but the bolt would definitely need replacing.

However – my current record on fixing shifter pods is poor  and so I’m after a suitable replacement if any one has a spare pod or a spare r/h LX M560 sti unit they’re willing to part with? I had a look on the web this morning but couldn't find anything suitable.

Ideally I'm after a r/h 7 speed LX M560 rapidfire plus shifter pod although an XT or DX 7 speed rapidfire plus one would also be good.

As always any advice and help is greatly appreciated. :)

Cheers,

HI PS_LDN,

here is what i have:

Shimano STI break/shifter unit LX ST-M565, only right side, 8 speed, some plastic is missing but working fine. 10€ plus shipping.

Hi juice,

Thanks for the quick response. :) The ST-M565 unit looks good but unfortunately I'm after a 7 speed unit to suit my bike's set-up such as a ST-M560 or ST-M563.

Cheers

Hi,

up to my knowledge it is full compatible. But you would have to live with one "dead click" on your shifter.

Cheers,

Adam

Have a pod from a DX sti you can have. If you can wait til the weekend for me to post.

Say £3 to cover postage? Came on bike with the left hand pod removed so not tested but seems to be all there and working.

Really sorry chap, just realised I had it the other way around, came with the front and right hand shifter was a thumbie.

Sorry chap, stupid mistake.

Still searching – are there any r/h 7 speed rapidfire plus shifter pods out there that some one's willing to part with; ideally M560 (LX), M075 (DX) or M095 (XT)? :)

Failing that are there any pairs of LX 7 speed ST-M560 or ST-M563 sti units that anyone’s willing to sell?

Having the bike as a three speed at the moment is harder work although it’s probably better for my heart!

Thanks
