Hi all, i am looking 3 or 4 speed screw on block as the 5 speed one I have on the tandem is to wide and is a real pain as I have to flex the frame to make it fit.

I would also be interested in a bolt on rear mech. The type that uses two mounting bolts to a bracket on the rear fork.

Cheers for now,

Dave

Re:

Sorry Dave,
I dug out my box of freewheels, I thought I had 2 4 speeds, but one of them turned out to be a 5 speed with a sprocket missing.
The other one is a 4 speed but I now can't find the Cyclo one for my upcoming BSA rebuild, so I need to hold on to it at the moment.
Sorry to raise your hopes.
Bruce

I think I have a close ratio 4 speed gathering dust somewhere, I'll have to look. But would the rear mech you mentione be the pre 60's push rod type?

Hi, I would be interested in the block, as for the mechanism, I would prefer an early cable operated type. There are brackets on the frame in the correct place, and it would mean the rear wheel would be a better fit, and allow crearence for the brake arm.

Cheers,

Dave

I have the block attached to a wheel, but with no means to remove it. can sell you the whole thing if you are interested? - 700c wheel.

Righto, I'll PM you to let you know if I can find the block. Not sure if I'll have the type of rear mech you describe but I'll check and let you know.

I can take it off and give you the wheel back, I never use 700c.... if not how much?
