Hi all,
I've got a 93/4 Orange Clockwork that's in pretty good condition but the wheels are buckled and dented. I'm leaning towards replacing them rather than having them fixed, as they're not the best wheels anyway and a new set would give me far more life.
But I'm not sure about compatibility - would a new set of modern 26" wheels fit this frame? And/or do I need to look for something in the specification of new wheels to ensure they would fit? e.g. axle length? It currently has a 9 speed cassette.
Additionally if you have any specific wheels to recommend that would be very welcome! I want to use the bike for commuting about town and some 'gentle' off-road stuff - firetrails, gravel, bridleways and that type of thing.
I suspect this is a very basic question but I have basically no idea what I'm doing!
Cheers all
