26.6 mm seatpost

I'm after a 26.6mm seatpost for a 1990 Basso I'm building.

I'd prefer it was silver and around 270 to 300mm long. Longer I can live with if needed.

Nothing too fancy or mega expensive, I have seen the NOS Campag stuff for £125. But no ships anchors either, as I have a couple of fluted posts that weight more than I do.

If I was able to choose... which I'm not, I'd prefer Italian, but considering this is a wanted add, I'm not really in a position to dictate am I.

Ritchey would also be great... if they have ever made a 26.6mm seatpost.

did you say you had a fluted (I presume shorish) 26.6?
I need to try something cheap on a frame that I thought was a 26.8 (the post it came with now doesn't seem to want to go in despite all efforts) and a 26.4 is too small.
I can buy a new one for £10 including delivery but really just want one for testing purposes tbh so cheap is the aim here.

I don't have a fluted post in 26.6 I'm afraid, I was just making the point that some of the age related posts look great, but are a little weighty.

Re:

Have a sift through the MTB Neil, there was a member with a load of seatposts to sell, mainly MTB and he had a Mavic road NOS in 26.6,

Re:

Thanks for the heads up but I saw them yesterday.

The Mavic is nice but I'm after silver.

Re:

I've got a no-brand fitted at present.

I'm in no rush, something nice / light will crop up eventually.

Re:

Neil,

Glad the pedals arrived OK.

I have 3 Campy 26.4mm posts is the measurement spot on at 26.6?

Thanks

Dave

Neil,

Meant to say I hope you like the handlebars as I realised I sold the pedals to someone else on here!

Re:

Dave,
The bars are fine, but are put by for another project.

Yes, the seatpost is definitely 26.6; I know it's only 0.2mm, but that's the difference between tight and loose, or worse, between tight and a cracked seat tube.

I'm not in a rush, something will turn up.
