I'm currently building up a 13.5 inch(i think, very small) Stumpie M2 for my son. He's only 8 so i'm contemplating 24" wheels. Obviously I could run 24" forks on the front and sort out some sort of disc brake for the rear, but can i run them on standard forks and still use 'v' brakes front and rear?I'm thinking it's unlikely but thought i'd ask the question.
Cheers in advance.

Wondering if you could use pace forks which have the removable V Brake mounts like my RC 36'sand just move the mounts lower down?

Sounds possible, otherwise it's discs only.

unles you are builing your own wheels, aren't the axle widths of the hubs used on 24" wheels narrower too?

I had thought of  removing the bonded drop-outs from the bottom of a cheap pair of manitous. cutting some of the leg away and re-bonding the drop-out

So that I could give my son a decent 24" wheeled bike.

I have a 24" wheeled bike that I may split and sell you the wheels and tyres (amber wall) from if you do decide to go that way.

Good luck deciding and then pulling it off.
