I have a friend trying to sell this for £700. I told home he would be lucky. He then asked me, 'well how much then?'

It has XT Brakes, Deore drive, Truvativ Cranks, Superstar wheels, doesn't look too special to me, I said around £500 would be ambitious.
And yes, I know.... I already advised him to swap out the seat.

I don't see a massive amount of value in the parts so I guess a lot of it boils down to the frame. I don't know much about that particular Explosif but personally I would see it as £350-450 bike. You can get quite a lot of bike for £500 on eBay.

I think the frame is worth about £150 (on a unrelated note, the geometry looks a bit mad on this!) and the parts
Forks £50
wheels £60
XT? brakes £70
Rest about £100

as a complete bike its a bit of an odd mix of parts and might be a hard sell

That's pretty much where I was. I reckoned £400, might be better off splitting.
