I was poking around to post an update to this bike, when I realized that this bike doesn't have a thread of it's own yet! SHAME!

As it arrived, Spring 2008. EWR came back to life with a production run of revised OWB's, all in either pearl white or bengal orange and all with the original style lettering and not the new logo work. 125$ premium for the custom color up and above put the price of the frame right around $1400 or so as I recall. Small price to pay for a nutcase EWR freak like me.

As it arrived with it's older sibling, and then second pic, the first iteration, with Sachs New Success Drivetrain in 1X8 gearing and with Control Tech and Race Face goodies and Mavic 217's.

Pic 1 the first build in action, San Felasco Hammock State Park in central Florida, then pic 2, an Interim build at the same place, different day ...

Sram X-0 1X9 drivetrain, Saint cranks, 646 DX clipless, Altek levers and Thomson and Race Face bits. For a while it sprouted a Fox Vanilla RLC coil fork that would later land on my Turner 5 Spot.

And TODAY!

The current spec...

EWR sent me a new style EWR head tube badge gratis, so you know I had to fit that and represent my peeps. :P

Hugi hubs and 217 Sunset rims, Sram X-0, Noir cranks, Thomson bits and as usual for every bike I own, Altek levers and an SDG saddle. 8)

I'm a freak, what can I say!

more!

I have been neglecting my Retrobike duties by not hanging around too much here on the board. I'll rectify that if I can!

I guess that means you won't be selling it anytime soon? ;)

I almost pulled the trigger on a leftover EWR OWB 29er frame this week, but unfortunately it was a medium and as much as I tried to convince myself that I could make it work, I knew it would be too small. :(
