I'll accept offers on this if anyone is interested, around £650 for the complete bike would be about the right ballpark and I can arrange delivery to mainland UK no problem. Alternatively I'll split the bike if no one is interested so £375 ono for the frame, fork, headset and seat post would sound about right.
PM me and make me an offer
TCR Composite 2, 2006 model, Ultegra 10 speed triple, original SRP was £1650. Size 'medium/large'.
All parts are original except for the wheels which are earlier Shimano Ultegra wheels. Ultegra pedals have been added and can be included with the bike if you want them, you'll just need to get yourself some cleats.
In total I reckon this bike has genuinely only done about 350 miles in dry weather, 500 max
Basically this bike is as new and has really never been ridden. I'd been using a medium TCR frame previously and I wanted to replace my old alloy frame bike for carbon, unfortunately at the time there was a 8 week wait for the medium size so I bought a medium/large instead as I could have it straight away which turned out to be a mistake.
It nagged me that I should have bought a medium after the first 10 miles as it never felt quite right to the point that I bought another bike soon after, hence this bike has spent the last 3 years in the loft rather then on the road. If I'd bought a medium in the first place then to be honest I would probably still be riding that bike now.
The only component that has seen a bit more action then the bike as a whole are the cranks and b/b which I was using on my cross bike for a year or so. As a result the crank faces are a bit scuffed but this is only cosmetic. While the cranks were on the cross bike I was running different rings so the originals have been refitted and have only done the same mileage as the rest of the bike (350ish miles as stated above) so are as new, just take a look at the pics.
The original wheels I sold on as I had these Ultegra wheels which I considered better then the R500's it came with. They have probably done about 1500 miles in total (they were used on a previous bike) but bearings are running as smooth as day one. These wheels do have some inherent flex to them as the are very light so fast out on the road but perhaps not so well suited to a heavier rider for daily use. Wrapped with Michelin Pro 2's.
If anyone would like to see the bike in person then you would be welcome to come and take a look, any questions just post them or drop me a pm.
Take a look here to see a link to the bike on the Giant website
The bike is serviced and ready for a new home, take a look at the pics in particular the pics of the transmission which proves just how little this bike has been used!
