I've just bagged myself a little Stinky off Pinkbike :P . . .

Pretty much stock and not in bad condition at all for a 10 year old bike. Wheels and brakes need a little tweaking but I should get it trail-worthy for the weekend.

I'll be ditching the LX mechs and replacing with XT 1x9 and when funds allow I'd love a set of Hope Minis. That sky high front end will need bringing down too  but for now I reckon it should be a pretty fun winter ride.

stinkys are awsum and yea swap out the cheaper bits and go xt 1x9 much better for stinkys

i wouldnt change the length of the fork as its nomally matched to the rear and would ruin the feel of the bike

Yep, the fork feels great (original 'made in Italy' 130mm DJ III :P ). I previously owned a 2004 Stinky which came with 150mm dual crown drop offs whch I swapped out for 130mm Bombers - was an awesome little trail bike.

ive got a stab dee lux up for sale atm as not needed its in the 98 section if u wana have a look

but have had a couple of stinkys and there nice

personally will mono minis be strong enough to stop u ? as looks like u got the hayes hfx9 (8 inch ) discs on there

Good forks but they are blooming heavy. What do you reckon that bike weighs all in? 40lb? Good fun but it would be too tiring for my pootles around unless I got a lot fitter!

Not sure on the weight - it's partially stripped down at the mo' but I'll update later. My Cove STD with Boxxers is around the 40lb mark so I'm hoping it won't be quite as 'character building' as that is

Makes you fitter a lot quicker!
