I ended up buying two slightly rough around the edges pairs of Drop Offs, so have combined them to make one good pair. Thought I may as well see if the bits left are of any interest / use for people on here.

Pair of 2000 (I think) QR20 Drop Offs. Bad bits first; the lowers are corroded, which is bad in two spots (see pics), I've nicked the steerer and the stanchions are worn.

Good bits - crown is fine and will polish up nicely, brace is fine and so are the internals.

Will come with the hub with integrated axle but the bearings need replacing / greasing as they are a little rough.

Looking for £30 posted if of any use.

how did you get the steerer off buddy?

i have a pair of z1 drop off's but cant see a fixing to remove. surely they don't tap out?

I swapped the crowns between the two forks. These ones have a bolt in steerer, hence the reason it has managed to go missing.

I have 2001 drop offs and i removed my too short steerer by holding the forks with both hands, then slamming the end of the steerer into my garage floor.

The steerer just tapped out no real trouble at all to be honest!

Well yeah, i had to use a bit of brute force, but it was easy enough, i then figured i would give it a try with my old Rock Shox Psylo forks, and the steerer came out the same way, so then i tapped the longer RS steerer into my MZ forks, and they have been like this ever since

I took it easy for a while as i was not sure on swap, lots of online horror stories, but to be fair, i was going to pay Windwave to press out and press in a new one anyway, they looked the same when i held the two up as a rough measurement  after a few months, a small trail center, some 1-2 foot drops and an awesome rocky DH trail we hit on a club ride i forgot all about it!

I also tried on my old set of 98 Judy t2`s and the steerer would not budge at all, probably corroded into place for good.
