Devout Dirtbag
hi i have resently got my self some 1998 z2 bombers, just like the ones i really wanted when i was a kid.....any ways i really want to fit the progressive spring in them, unforchainlty i can only find the 80mm travel ones, as it is only 10mm more travel and the adjustment in the spring compressors in 15mm i think they would be ok, i would really like some feed back and advise on this also any information on tuneing them!

I think you'll find that the 80mm travel springs are exactly the same length as the ones in your fork. I recently had a set side by side and they're the same length.
The firmer spring kits usually come with different top-out/negative springs that need to be fitted, not just a case of slipping in the main long springs.

Advice on tuning?
Try and leave the pre-load adjusters alone and get the correct spring weight (looks like you're going that route already).
You can raise the oil height by 5mm if you want the fork to feel firmer at the end of the stroke (full compression).
There's other things you can do with the oil but best to get the basics sorted first.
PM me if you want more info.
