I have some steel rigid forks if you are interested. Although there not straight blade.
The ones in this picture.

No it’s got to be straight I’m afraid,
Cheers

Re:

Those are interesting forks. Until now I thought the Atom was sold from the 2000 modelyear with the new type brakearch. They don't appear in the 97/98/99 catalogue.

I just thought they were the Z2bam, until I checked the sticker out..... can’t say I’ve ever really paid any attention to it until I took pics last night

I think it's a mislabelled (relabelled?) Z2 Light from 1998 colors would indicate the same.

Re: 1997 marzocchi z2 atom bomb SWAP for rigid?

They are 1997/98 Z2 Atoms I have a set too, mine were originally finished in red but they are now bare polished Alloy and gloss black. Atoms had a shorter travel (65mm) than the BAM, Alloy Steerer and no disc mounts. Mine currently live on my CB Anteaus. I don't think there was a Z2 Light, only a Z3 light (Also had a set of those and they were quite basic).

Carl.

Re:

Nice info Carl, thanks.

The catalogues say that:
The'97 year had a Z2
The '98 year had a Z2 BAM, light and alloy version with minimal differences.
The '99 year had a Z2 BAM and light version.
The '00 year had the new integrated brake arch. In the catalogues there's only a Atom 80 version.

I'm only checking coil forks by the way.
But I think the information in the catalogues is limited.
The Atom shown above is not mentioned for example.

Re: 1997 marzocchi z2 atom bomb SWAP for rigid?

I'm pretty sure these were my 98 but with the legs made in 97. I had a look for documents that I used in the past to service mine but they have disappeared. The replace that thes are 98 are the blue.ovalised adjusters on the top of the legs. The my 97 had round red adjusters.

Carl
