I bought a GT frame from 1997 and have tried two forks so far: a plain-gauge Bologna type fork with an a-c of 410 mm and single-butted Bologna type with an a-c of 398 mm. The steering feels slightly on the sharp side with the latter. I reckon the 410 mm fork probably comes closer to what was originally intended but that 405 mm may be ideal. What was the axle to crown measurement of GT rigid forks for this year?
