SOLD to my fellow Llantonian, Logic.Al :)

Don't you just hate it when the person you buy something from fails to describe certain things?

I bought this frame as part of a bundle with a GT STS frame which I have planned to keep and build. The seller (on Pinkbike, surprise surprise) assured me that both frames were in excellent condition and perfect working order.

Anyway, long story short, I received the frames today and, whilst I'm happy with the STS frame being as described, the LTS frame wasn't. The seller had failed to disclose that there were some dents in the front triangle (2 on the down tube and 2 smaller ones on the top tube). Now, I know that LTS frames aren't exactly known for being weak (ie. they're pretty much built like a tank), so I'm not concerned that the dents will have any effect on the overall strength of the frame. However, I can't now sell the LTS frame as being in mint condition, as I was originally led to believe it was.

So, there you go. It's a '97 LTS frame (6000 series Alu) in a 16" flavour (GT sizing remember, so it's 19.5" centre to top). Overall it's in very good condition apart from the dents which I've described (and which are pictured below). It comes with a fully functional Rockshox Coupe Deluxe shock, and even better than that, it's had a bearing upgrade on the 2 main pivots. Anyone who has upgraded their LTS/STS to bearings knows that they're not exactly cheap  , so this is a definite plus point as anybody with an upgraded LTS/STS will be able to tell you!

I was originally asking £160 for the frame on account of the fact that it had had the bearing upgrade, and I was told that it was in mint condition. Obviously, with the discovery of the dents, that price has had to be rethought, so I'm knocking £50 off.

Was £110 posted to the UK
NOW £99 shiny round pounds posted to the UK
FINAL REDUCTION - NOW JUST £85 POSTED TO THE UK!!
SOLD

Considering the bearing upgrades are £41.99 (top pivot) and £53.99 (bottom pivot), that's a bargain!
If it doesn't sell for £85, I'm keeping it for spares!

Payment via PayPal Gift please, or buyer pays the fees. Thanks :)

Re: 1997 GT LTS Frame, 16", Bearing Kit

I just want to add that I'm in the market for a bit of swapping too (with a bit of cash either way).

I need:

- XTR Shifter Units (M95x - 8 or 9 speed)
- Wheels (Hope/Mavic)
- Cranks (Middleburn/Raceface/XT/XTR)
- XT/XTR/Dura Ace Cassette (8 or 9 speed)
- Flite/SLR saddle

Ta :D

I have some XTR M950 STI's and a Dura Ace 8speed casette if your intrested, Nice frame, btw they call a tough frame overbuilt AFAIK.
BTW: Don't trust PB as there are a LOT of scammers there, go read Psyclist/Alex's topic and see for yourself

Are they brake lever/shifter units, or just the shifters themselves? It's just the shifters I need as I'm going to be running discs. :)

And I'd whip off the postage costs too, and I can bring it to The Swan with me ;)
