This steed was previously seen in the 'Lovers' thread built up by OldDave, who then stripped it and sold the frameset (with loads of extras) loads of thanks to Dave.

I was going to build it with some STX-RC kit I have but the cassette was 7 speed, the shifters 8, the F mech pulled the wrong way too. So out came an old Nexave groupset. 3x7 Button shifters, V's with a red thing on them, larger chainrings and rapidrise rear mech. Some semi slicks I haven't yet used.

My mind made up, this is the going to the shops round town towpath type bike.

Then I found a rack and guards I forgot that I had, definitely a shop bike now. I thought it might make it look less chav desirable, but it actually looks rather good.

I'm nerdy about keeping records of spends etc. after buying half bikes stripping and selling bits and left over bits now making it onto this bike it owes me - £37 - Bloody bargain. :)

Cables, stem top cap, grips and a chain and it should be ready to roll.
