1996 Mavic query

What was the good Mavic XC rim back in early 96? I have a project needing a wheel set but I fear that the 217s I have floating about are from a later time. Can anyone confirm or deny?

Refering to the 1996 Kona catalogue, the Top of the range bikes, had been equipped with 217 rims - lower spec. had 221 (like my Explosif)

Splendid stuff. Thank you. Now to pull the Hugi hub apart to get the cracked bearing out seeing as the rim is acceptable.

The old 96 Dekerf that has done many years of faithful service is built for a short fork and Vs only so I am returning it to the spec, more or less, as I got it. Judy XCs are on their way to me and I have a bunch of 95/6 XT and XTR bits to add. Shame I binned the Smoke and Dart, eh!

You don't have a Syncros top cap among your myriad of oddments do you?
