1995 Marin Bear Valley - SOLD

I have a 1995 Marin Bear Valley, factory spec (see catalogue in Gallery & Archive section) apart from the tyres and chain. Size is 17.5" c-c 19" c-t.

It was totally original apart from the tyres when I bought it, I've changed the cable inners and replaced the cassette and also the chain (with an XTR) one. The bike is in good condition apart from the rear rim which is worn, the front is also worn but to a lesser degree.

I've adjusted the gears and brakes and ridden it a few times but I realise I just have too many bikes now.

Hi there, i'm quite a newbie in mountainbiking, and thought that this one might be good starter that dosnt blow my student-budget, though i need to ask if shipping to Denmark (i know this sounds a bit aggressive) could be a possebility? of cause i'll pay the extra postage.

And again, is this a good starter, or are steel frames only a collectors choice?

The Bear Valley is a great starter bike, but posting to Denmark would be too expensive / much hassle. Sorry.

Attached are some photos, my son was 'helping' so excuse the little fella appearing in the pics! The eagle-eye people will notice the GT stem and fat grips which I've fitted because I'm getting old - I rode the bike this morning about 7 miles along the Thames it was great. The marking on the underside of the downtube is dried-on mud.

Now the bad bits

The wheels were delivered yesterday but my wife had popped out for literally 5 minutes and all we got was a card from Parcelforce. Next delivery will be Monday.
