1995 Fisher Grateful Dead bike

On to the MOMBAT Fisher page! I never really cared for these bikes but it is probably the one that we get the most inquiries about. Just a plain old Hoo Koo E Koo with different decals on it. I still have the original box for this one and only took it out a couple of years ago. I suppose it should have been left in the box but I'd rather look at the bike than a big old slab of cardboard?

Isn't the rear derailleur STX-RC? I've always thought that was a very attractive groupset. I bought an STX-RC chainset (in that "chromica" finish) when they were going cheap a year or two later and got plenty of use of out it. Only trouble is that the rings are unusual and completely unobtainable AFAIK - mine are now completely unusable - the teeth are worn sharp enough to fit to a saw :-(

Anyway - nice looking bike aside from the whole selling point, the graphics  Just not my thing...

Local People

I've got a mate in Fairfax that does some work with Phil Lesh... he said, namedropping like it was going out of fashion!

RightPat?! ;-)

Greatful Dead

I was just at Lesh's house in Ross today-I know of two brand new versions of that bike that are here in Marin-it seems that some people bought them to save as Greatful Dead collectibles, but they never quite became collectible as the bike was an ordinary Fisher HooKoo with a plastic wrap graphic that was designed by Prairie Prince (drummer for the TUBES).

i hate the bike but love the frame. I'd love to actually build one up w/ red and blue anno! A true Jerry bike!

We had one through the shop where i worked at the time they were launched; got mixed opinions then. Wish i had bought it now, but then there were so many other bikes
About time you did a bit of work on the house though
