1994 Marin Pine Mountain

I bought this online recently and it arrived earlier in the week.

The photos are of it just out of the box. After these were taken I gave it a good wash and degrease - it's first in many years I imagine.

It's had a wheel swap at some point in its life (to STX hubs and Mavic 238 rims) and the original seat is long gone. And from the look of the fading on the anodised parts I'd say its been left out in the sun. (BTW, if anyone has any Marin parts for sale in this colour please let me know.) :D

Re:

Thanks for the comments guys - I reckon it will clean up nicely, even if it is quite scratched (in fact, it looks better after just a wash and the wheels cleaning properly).

It's currently semi-stripped and I've 'borrowed' a few parts from other builds (M737 chainset and rear mech, Marin Lite tyres, Marin Lite saddle etc). I already had the skewers and a couple of other items. I'll post photos soon.

Also, I'm looking into getting those magenta components re-anodised.

Whayne, the IFT is still in the box round at dads. I have to pack it up and get it shipped to Aus the next time I'm home. How did you get on with that Pace fork?
