Hi - advice requested
I have a 1993 Joe Murray designed Kona Lava Dome with most of the original parts still intact apart from the rear "mech", (not sure about the front "mech"). The paint is quite chipped but the bike repair shop I take it to always say "lovely bike that!" so it's really ripe for a restoration job.
I have owned it from new and it's never been mistreated - always kept in a garage or shed. More often ridden on road than off and regularly serviced (new brake pads, cables etc)
Spec that I am reasonably sure of (some of the labels are faded etc)
16" frame - blue/silver colour
Project Two forks
Exage V brakes - SS5 diacompe levers
Exage hubs
SIS thumbshifters
Weinmann Bontrager rims
Currently fitted with skinny road tyres and a very spongy ladies saddle - I can't locate the original saddle unfortunately.
I would like to know roughly how much it is worth. I'm thinking that I will put it on Ebay and advertise the auction listing on here. Is that a sensible way to proceed? Waiting for a sunny day to take some pics.
Comments gratefully received.
