The seller was on here recently trying to guage interest.

did he get the interest he was looking for?

I like it...just can't see myself spending his asking price. He was asking even more than he is now. He lowered it from 999.99 or something like that.

I offered him strong money for the bar stem combo as some shelfware but got no response at all from him...

I don't think the price is too bad with that part spec.

Perhaps he didn't want to be bothered with parting it out...could've at least said as much.

His asking price now is not unreasonable. He could definitely get that much if he was to part it out. I imagine it can sell for $500 usd or a bit more if he is patient, and the right buyer comes along. Namely someone who does not already have those parts waiting in a bin and would only need the frame/stem/handlebar.

Agreed I think it's reasonable given the parts. The paint is a bit stuffed though (not as nice as mine, hehe).

Actually perhaps mine wouldn't be a bad yardstick price wise. It doesn't have the stem/bar combo, is based on M737 and is a 95 rather than 93/94, but it is pretty damn straight. I got it for US$380...

That tends to be about average from what I've found. $300 to at the most $500 for the old cali bontis
