I have literally just picked up this beauty so thought I would share a few pics....
The guy I bought it off bought it new and requested the shop ditch the Rockshox and replace with original forks and flextstem...he said he liked going up hills more than down them :-)
Its full M900 bar the XT u-brake....of course and rides like it should!
I did have plans of a full rebuild with suss forks and spins but not sure....seems a shame to me to change it :?
Anyhows.....off to do some polishing

Re:

Nice find! Great that you have the rare 3D-forks!

Interesting serial number. Frame was built in September 1992. This is the month where the model year change happens. You must have one of the last Zaskars with U-Brake! :)

Improvment: Try finding a 1992 Flip-Flop-Stem and a decent saddle. ;)

This is a rather early Zaskar. I wouldn't use SPINs on those. Maybe better look for a younger, anodized Zaskar frame and build something like this:

Have fun!

Wow that looks amazing....agreed on the saddle...I always choose flite saddle but as for the stem....flipflop is just too long for my retro back

Ah so you got it! Wondered why the auction ended suddenly!
Hope you got it for a decent price or did the seller know it's worth?

I was also watching with the intention of bidding on thurs morning....but yes it vanished! so I pmd the seller and he told me he ended it because he wanted it to end on a weekend and told me what he wanted for it for cash without being prompted so I did a deal and drove a 225 mile round trip!....he knew it was sought after but chose to sell it to me over the other people that also messaged him( believe it or not some were being twats! lol)....he made a good choice as I love it and is a keeper for sure :-)
