1992 Steve Potts Cross Country Racer

That is sublime 8)

Amazing bike and lots of cool history too,

Would you be able to list the components etc as there are some parts there I have never seen before.

Cheers

Sweet bike, love the bamboo paint (like mountain goat) a true classic 8)

Not bamboo, pine needles and fern leaves used as a spray mask.

I see the fern leaves every once in a while, but the overall effect still looks bamboo-ish to me. It is a more Fir shade of green though, less bright than the Mountain Goat Bamboo.

Either way, it's a darn pretty paint job. You could call it Romaine Lettuce and it still won't change the fact that the thing is beautiful. 8)

I call it PA forrest camo :P

Awesome bike man!

Thanks. Not a PA native myself, I was living in New York when I ordered the bike from Steve. When we got around to talking about paint, I wanted some sort of camo. Steve immediately suggested this scheme, it's called Tamoflage, the foliage used in the mask came from Mt.Tam. The paint was done by Cycledelix ( Carolyn Gravenites, Steve "Gravy" Gravenites sister) I okayed it sight unseen based on Steve's enthusiastic description.

I was just fooling around. Thanks for the cool history/details...makes the bike that much better.
