After my MTB ride this morning took a pick of 30 years on, high end full suspension mountain bikes. So much has changed.

Aye, but if you are anything like the average retrobiker you'll be faster down the double blacks on the paramount than the young 'uns shredding the gnarr on their rad ride.

Took me 5 years to scrape a NOS XC Pro set together, while this guy casually pulls it out of a box-jealous as hell.
Bloody amazing, have some fun on it!

I finally had a chance to put some miles on this bike. It’s heavy, stiff and I can see how it would’ve built confidence going downhill. The rear shock works pretty well.

just came across of a test of the SASS in a German Bike Magazine from May 1992 and want to share a bit of pictures (just snippets due to copyright)



In short, they had a quite bit of criticism for it, especially uphill, but it was the best downhill bike for them for the overall tested full suspension bikes.

It's also used in same issue as background to show downhill wear.

Amazing bike! My Uncle worked for Schwinn and he had one of these hanging in his garage. One of the few I didn't get my hands on... A buddy of his received it when he was cleaning things out.

Do you know the width of the BB spindle? I am building one currently and unsure of the length I need. The previous owner thought it was about 125mm. Thanks!
