In short, they had a quite bit of criticism for it, especially uphill, but it was the best downhill bike for them for the overall tested full suspension bikes.
It's also used in same issue as background to show downhill wear.

Amazing bike! My Uncle worked for Schwinn and he had one of these hanging in his garage. One of the few I didn't get my hands on... A buddy of his received it when he was cleaning things out.
Do you know the width of the BB spindle? I am building one currently and unsure of the length I need. The previous owner thought it was about 125mm. Thanks!I finally had a chance to put some miles on this bike. It’s heavy, stiff and I can see how it would’ve built confidence going downhill. The rear shock works pretty well.
