Hi All,
this is my first post here, and I am so glad that you are around, as I am trying to get to use my MTB a little more for short trips around home. Some exercise.
I have an old Topanga that I bought in the UK around 1992-1993. I am 5'7" tall, with an in seam of 32"-31"
The bike I have is this one, an earlier post by another member on this forum.
The issue is the handlebar is way to forward for me, and I was wondering if I can change that, what would you recommend. A different angle quill, I would also need the bolt that fits into the front stem for this as I have lost it! quill stem is 25.4mm as marked on the stock quill.
I live in Dubai, and most bike shops here do not carry parts that will fit this old bike, but I am not going to buy another bike until I make good use of this one for a 1 year. I can ofcourse bring the part in from the US/UK by post for not much price....well cheaper than a new bike that is.....ofcourse that icelandic valcano may delay a few flights with my part.
