1991 Kona Cinder Cone (Headset size advice)

Evening people,

Im after some advice........can anyone tell me the headset size I will need for my re-build, im looking to replace the impact headset and velocity stem for an ahead steerer and need some advice.

Any takers?

On the top of the impact headset close to the stem it should give the stem size (in very small writing). On my '91 cinder cone the stem is 26.4.

26.4? More likely to be 25.4mm which is 1 inch. Well you said it was small writing, rc200ti

Anyway if the stem does measure 1 inch this means that the headset is 1&1/8. If the stem measures 7/8 inch or 22.2mm then you have a 1 inch headset.

Either way I wouldn't get rid of the original set up, especially the Velocity stem, they're lovely.
