This is a 1991 Klein Attitude in backfire size XS. $1700us shipped

I feel this is a rare Klein for 2 reasons:
1.It has holes in the drops like an Adroit but I know it is not one. I have never seen this before so if anyone has info please share.
2.It has the name of the Owner/ Factory worker stamped in the drops.

With that said, condition of the frameset is a 8.5 out of 10.
There are a couple of places that the paint has been chipped off or has been scratched off. There is very little fading and the paint still radiates. You need sunglasses for this frame.

The bars are uncut and the bearings in the headset and BB seem to be smooth. The Attitude came built up with Shimano Deore and DX. I will include the original group that came with the frameset.(see Photo) The 2 water bottle bolts on the underside of the frame are missing.

Nice never seen another Attitude with the dropouts like that, must be a prototype of some description,it looks more like a Klein size small 19" to me though :?

It measures out at 15" C-C and 18" C-T Seattube with a 21 3/4 toptube.

Yes, I was told by the 2nd owner that the gentleman he bought it from, Jake Johnston, had it made for him when he worked at the factory.
I have tried to google that name but nothing has come up.
It is a mystery.

That would certianly make a lot of sense if staff made thier own then personalised them

The complete bike was sold for 600 Dollars from craigslist a few days ago

The holes in the dropouts are very early Attitudes. I have seen this several times, nothing special.
