Carrera Monza Road Bike / Racer with Reynolds 531 Frame – Hardly Used
Seat tube – 61cm centre to top
Top tube – 57cm centre to centre
Head tube – 19cm
Stem – 10.5cm
Cranks 170mm
Chain rings – 42 / 52 (Biopace)
Cassette – 7 Speed – 13 – 23
Groupset – Shimano RX100. All original apart from the left hand crank arm which was replaced. The replacement does match but it's a little more scruffy than the rest of the parts.
Saddle – San Marco Rolls – scuffed back edges but still great condition.
Everything works well. There are some marks on the paint work but no rust.
All the bearings (headset, bottom bracket and hubs) are smooth and free from play. The wheels are straight and the anodising is only just starting to be worn off the Araya rims. 36 stainless steel spoke wheels.
I've left the original bar tape as it completes the classic look of the bike. It's a bit torn in places and there's some white electrical tape in a couple of places. It's still fine though I think. I can replace the tape with some new cork tape in black, white or yellow if you want for £10 extra.
As far as I can tell the cables are all original. I'll replace them (no charge) if you want but they work perfectly as they are. If it ain't broke...
Pedals – not included.
Pump. Annoyingly it broke when I tested it so it's in the bin.
Tyres – New Schwalbe Lugano tyres with Active Line Liteskin Puncture Protection (whatever that means...) these were fitted after the photos were taken, they're all black.
Questions welcome, get in touch to arrange a test ride!
£250 collected from Brighton, shipping available at cost.
