1990's Peugeot?

Hi everyone, as a newbie I better introduce myself before i get to my question. My name is William, i am a keen amateur cyclist, i do like to compete in 10 mile time trails, presently i own 7 cycles....4 road/race bikes and 3 mountain bikes, been browsing this site for weeks, finally registered a few days ago, i think this is a great websit!!
I have an oldish Peugeot competition 6000 road bike, i am looking for some information about it, why does it have smaller 23" wheels, is this because its maybe a ladies model? When was this bike in production?
Is the shimano 105 groupset standard?
Where will i get new tyres for it??

After some research by a work mate.....i think the tyres i need are 650C's.....??

I've just got a Peugeot too! What is the diameter of the wheels? If its 622mm it's a 700c wheel.

Hi there, my wheels are 571mm....so 650c's..., could do with finding out when it was in production?
