Can anybody date this frame?

Can't be later than 1990, but the 90 catalogue shows orange paint - but then I've never seen one, so could they have changed their minds? The paint/decals look like the 1988 range (88 was the year Kona started), but AFAIAA 88 Konas all had a rear U-brake and this has its brake bosses in the canti position. And it seems as though the 1989 Lava Dome was the one in creamy yellow with red/black streaks. So, the plot thickens, what can this one be?

i have one of these i also had one BITD i thought it was a 1991 it doesnt feature in any Kona or TBG catalogues i bought mine in 1991 but now i think back im sure i got it cheap as it was last years model so 1990 may well be right. They are very nice frames i love mine!

I had one identical but in red back in 1991,l I got it from Johs Bikes in Bath in their January Sale as it was last years model, So must be a 1990.

Was a top bike with Suntour X1 Groupset in Black with X-Press levers.... far better than STi in its day. Was TBG logo's with 1" Headset etc

thats right x1 groupset the one i have now is 100% as it came from the factory.
