Put it in a box and pay a courier to deliver it.

put it in a box and royal mail will do it if you don't want to wait in for a courier.

I've posted complete bikes in the UK in a cardboard bike box that you should be able to get from any bike shop for £12-15 via Royal Mail. If they say it's too big be insistent, if you have taken the wheels, seatpost etc. off it won't be and they are just saying it as they can't be arsed.
