1989 Specialized Stumpjumper spec help

I'm after some info on a 1989 Specialized Stumpjumper - Hope you can help:


1) What spec were the grips? I remember riding with grab-ons back in the day.
2) How do I determine frame size (is it centre bb to centre top tube?)
3) What length stems were fit as standard...
...4) Also I'm really struggling to source the OEM stem.

It's pretty obvious why I'm asking

I had an '89 Rockhopper back in the day, loved it. Pretty certain the grips were Specialized. Centre BB to centre top tube should be right, I think. The catalogue mentions "sized to frame" regarding stem length. If I were you I'd go for what's comfortable for you. US eBay might be good for a Specialized stem.

It was a cheap rattlecan job. Decals were from ebay.
