weird that he has apparently retro-fitted v-brake posts on it--and yet left the cantilever guide!

Them brake posts look pretty high relative to the bridge. . and if it is 1989- then I think this might be a U-brake model. . . In myopinion actually adds to its charm, but just something to consider. And I might be wrong. .
